 Synopsis
This is one of the best bars in Pittsburgh, not just the Strip.  It has some of the best beer and food in town, all served by some of the best people I town.  John, the Irishman is a classic bartender.  Hardworking but always ready to take your order.  Of all the places in the Strip this was here the longest and there has to be a reason why.

 Bar Hours
Open 7 days.  Open early, open late.

 Happy Hour

 Holiday Closing

 Beer, Wines & Spirits
They have 18 beers on draft, more than up-stairs.  But their bottle selection is better up top.  As in any real Pittsburgh bar they have all the spirits and wine too.

 Food
This is a seafood restaurant so what else can I say.  Well, plenty.  They have a whale of a fish sandwich and they are well known for having the best clams too.

 Food Hours
Monday to Friday 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.  Saturday 7:00 AM to midnight.  Sunday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.  Yes, they open on Saturday at 7 in the morning, and for good reason.  This is the Strip where Pittsburh comes to buy produce.  Saturday is market day.

 Entertainment
None here but it's just a walk up the stairs.

 Cigar Smoking
Roland's is cigar friendly at the bar.  The owner, Paul Carozzi will always be seen with a good one.  You will find a good selection for sale at the U of the upstairs bar.

 Parking
Parking in the Strip may look bad but many free spots can be found.  The city has many metered spots as well.

 Cash Problem?
The nearest ATM machine is the PNC Bank at the corner of Penn & 21st.
National City Bank has one at Wholey's on Penn Ave. at 17th.
An ATM can also be found at the front door but it is not tied to a local bank.
